DRUNK DRIVING IS NOT A GAME

If you’re caught driving drunk, you will be arrested. You will go to jail, and you will pay thousands of dollars in fines. That’s the law, and Utah police are cracking down on drunk drivers harder than ever before.

Why? Because in 2008, alcohol-related crashes killed 11,747 people in America and 34 people in Utah. Every year, around 14,000 Utahns get arrested for drunk driving. Don’t be one of them.

Before you drink, designate a sober driver. Give that person your keys. If you’re drinking and don’t have a sober driver, call a cab. (Tip: Program the cab company number into your cell phone, so you always have it handy). Cab fare costs a lot less than a DUI.

And finally, if you see somebody about to drive drunk, stop him. You’ll be doing him, and everybody else, a big favor.
